The paper deals with the development of technical harmonization under the conditions of the Czech Republic's membership of the European Union and during the implementation of changed harmonized European approaches, in particular the New Approach Directives and issued documents of the New Legislation Frame of the EU. Technical harmonization is one of the key tools of building the single market of goods. Harmonization of individual specifications of products and services eliminates technical barriers to the trade between the EU member states. The products and services meeting the required parameters can freely move within the single market, which secures the access of companies to the entire EU market, simplification of procedures and reduction of costs, and at the same time, technical interoperability and high level of safety.
