History of line dewatering systems at the open-pit mine Vršany

The paper deals with the history of underground aquifer dewatering systems at the open-pit mine Vršany during its opening and mining phase. Safe mining operations at the bottom of the mine were secured by the construction of line dewatering systems - so called dewatering barriers - sets of drainage boreholes arranged in a line.
