New project "Sustainable forms of farming in the anthropogenic landscape" in the framework of the program NAZVA-KUS of the Ministry of agriculture of Czech Republic

The article briefly summarises first results of the restoration issue in the new project. The general characteristics of the new project, the methodology of the terrain works, laboratory analyses, methodology of the research areas selection and their basic characteristics are shown in the first part of this article. The main part of the article is devoted to the evaluation of three succession areas situated in the Radovesice dump and the Pokrok dump. The geological, pedological and biological situation of these areas and the first conclusions about the long term development of the soil profile are summarised in this part of the article. Very slow improving of the soil properties and quite quick growth of vegetation can be observed. The selection of research areas based on detailed survey of the whole dump bodies was successful. The monitoring of research areas will continue in pursuance of the project in future.
