Thermokinetic properties of solid fuels, especially coals, can be experimentally determined in experimental facility called drop tube. Obtained results from tests describe behaviour of fuel particles during burn-out. Points at issue of all mathematical models are in definition of input parameters of fuel. There were worked-out two models for one specific fuel in programs FLUENT and ANSYS. In this paper are compared and discussed results of these models. Experimentally observed parameters of fuel from droptube will serve to optimalization and adjustment of input constants of models which characterizing given fuel.
