Current possibilities of ore mineral finds in selected localities of the Krušné (Ore) Mountains and the Krušné (Ore) Mountains foothills
RNDr. Michal Řehoř, Ph.D.
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2021, 61(4)
The article deals with the mineralogy of ore deposits of wider area of the Krušné Hory Mts The subject of the research was mainly unique locations where high quality samples of ore minerals can still be found, although mining activities on ore mines have been discontinued. The method of research was to map the sites, take samples and X-ray determination of their mineralogical composition. The main attention is paid to the locations of Měděnec, Tisová and the ČSA open pit mine. The situation of other sites is also briefly evaluated.
Use of the ICP-OES method for the determination of metals in solid fuels and energy by-products
Ing. Zuzana Strolená, Ing. Lukáš Anděl
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2021, 61(4)
In addition to basic technological parameters, solid fuels and energy by-products are characterized by the content of various micro and macro elements. Several instrumental analytical methods such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS, AAS and others can be used to monitor the representation of these elements. The method of inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) was chosen for the purposes of the accredited testing laboratory. This method provides both quantitative and semi-quantitative analysis of samples and provides the user with information on the content and concentration of the majority of the elements of the periodic table.
Reduction of dustiness during EBP transport from Počerady Power Plant
Ing. Vlastimil Moni, Ph.D., Ing. Jaromír Täuber, Ing. Roman Bauer
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2021, 61(4)
The aim of this article is to provide summary information on the course of field tests of surface scrubbing of "Energy by-products" (EBP) by various types of solutions and their concentrations, to reduce dust emissions from the EBP surface during its transport from Počerady power plant (EPOČ) to EBP transhipment station EBP Příkupy. The article also describes the course and evaluation of laboratory tests performed in the laboratories of the Research Institute for Brown Coal a.s. with the respective concentrations of solutions applied to the surfaces of the test specimens of the transported material.
Development of air pollution monitoring technology in the measuring network of the Research Institute for Brown Coal a.s.
Ing. David Hirman
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2021, 61(4)
The article describes the gradual development of measuring technology used in the network of stationary stations for measuring the concentration of aerosol particles in the air around surface mines in the mining localities of Severočeské doly a.s., i.e., Doly Nástup Tušimice and Doly Bílina in the period from the 1990s. The intention to modernize the measuring network equipment, which will be implemented during 2022, is also presented here.
