New findings on mineralogy of North Bohemian Brown Coal Basin discovered in the period from 2002 to 2009

The paper deals with the mineralogy of North Bohemian Brown Coal Basin in the territory between the towns ústí nad Labem and Klášterec nad Ohří. Here, coal is mined at five open pit mines situated in the Tertiary brown coal basin. Research focused on new minerals discovered in sediments of the coal basin by geologists. The paper summarizes new findings from the years 2002-2009 when five minerals were identified as new ones for the North Bohemian Brown Coal Basin. They include anorthite, esseneite, ferrierite, melilite, and srebrodolskite. In total, 59 minerals were identified in the basin.
