Pressing of fine grained materials

The paper summarizes technological findings on briquetting fine grained materials of different quality as well as their mixtures. The preparation of briquetting mixtures, their homogenization, and moistening with technological water is described. The paper presents the changes of uniaxial compressive strength according to the Czech standard CSN CEN ISO/TS17892-7 and changes of compression strength determined vertically to the diameter of the briquette using the AK-14-E tester, performed after drying, after subsequent saturation with air moisture, after thermal shock at 800 °C, and after annealing treatment at 1 000 °C performed for 45 minutes.
