Issues of hydrogeology and the water balance of the Lake ČSM in the cadastral territory of Dubí-Pozorka
The article deals with the hydrological and hydrogeological issues connected with the Lake CSM. Fluctuations in the water level in this water reservoir induce considerable stability problems and, ultimately, they would endanger even the stability of the road connecting villages Pozorka and Mstišov. The total value of water inflows in amount of 13,1 l.s-1 was evaluated by the balance calculation. This balance does not match the real values of the whole hydrological balance of the Lake due to the non-exact input data given from mining-historical development of the territory. Unfortunately the current state of knowledge does not enable to achieve more precise values for the hydrological balance of the Lake CSM. The actual average inflows into the Lake were estimated rather at the lower value in the range from 5 to 10 l.s-1. This value corresponds approximately to the volumes of mine water pumping from 5 to 18 l.s-1 measured in the former open cast mine CSM in the period of 1965 to 1970.
