The aim of the provided paper is a comprehensive assessment of the status of the locality Panský les, both from the perspective of pedology and hydropedology, so from the perspective of meteorology and moisturising. A detailed evaluation of the quality of the soil has identified the risk of limiting the growth of vegetation unable to withstand the high value of soil reaction. In addition, a very low ability to sorb elements was also identified, and therefore a higher risk of washing out provided nutrients. From the perspective of soil moisture, water is mainly concentrated in the upper parts of the soil, which is important, since the atmospheric precipitation is the only source of moisture. Temperature profile of evaluated soil is not significantly different from natural soils. An important role in the settlement of the temperature and moisture regime takes the vegetation. Higher content of soil dust then contributes to relatively good retention ability of the lower layers of soil, but it requires enough precipitations.
