The forgotten sandstone locations in Ústí nad Labem and surroundings

The article wants to remind old sandstone locations in ústí nad Labem and its surroundings. The Upper Cretaceous (Santonian) sandstones are locally very decorative; however, they are soft and less resistant. The process of stone weathering is briefly described explaining why the stone formely used as a cheap construction material (together with basalts) rapidly degrades. There are original photos and a map with main locations.
