Formation of fly ashes for their utilisation for CO2 capture

Ing. Lukáš Anděl, Jaroslav Kusý, RNDr. Ing. Josef Valeš, Ing. Petr Svoboda, CSc.

The article deals with the pressing process optimization of different types of secondary energy products - fly and bottom ashes from large energy and heat sources in the Czech Republic burning various types of fuel. These ashes have different composition with regard to the content of SiO2 and CaO and require fairly precise amount of process water and the specific procedure for pressing the mixture. Resulting pressings are used within other experiments as possible sorption materials in the process of carbon dioxide capture and storage.
