The study is dedicated to the research of the zeolite preparation from waste fly ash with subsequent treatment of pelletization. No additive, but only process water, was used for mechanical formation of the product. The prepared pellets were tested in laboratory as a potential adsorbent for carbon dioxide capture from flue gas. Based on long-term experience and the results of previous experiments, realized with an extensive sample base, only one suitably selected fly ash was included in this study. The influence of the pelletization process on the adsorption capacity of the product, measured using a laboratory fixed bed flow-through apparatus, is discussed. In addition to the effect of homogenization and pelletization, the negative impact of too high drying/calcination temperatures of the pelletized product on its sorption properties has also been verified.
