The evaluation of lignite deposit in Bzenec based on digital model

Doc. RNDr. František Staněk, Ph.D., Ing. Jan Jelínek, Ph.D., Ing. Kerstin Hoňková, Ph.D.

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2009, 49(1)

In this contribution methodological procedures and results of digital modelling and assessing the lignite deposit in the Bzenec area of the Czech part of the Vienna Basin (the South Moravian Lignite Coalfield) are presented. Deposit database includes data from almost 300 drills. Except of primary deposit data, the database contains data on identically re-assessed economical thicknesses of the coal seam and coal benches. The seam is splitted into three coal benches (altogether 5 horizons). The basic deposit model is a so-called geological model, which describes the structural character of the deposit and defines the spatial positions of the coal seams....

Hořenec - the deposit of purpurin

Ing. Vlastimil Macůrek

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2009, 49(1)

In the North-Bohemian Brown Coal Basin a lot of various raw materials occur next to brown coal. Inorganic pigments bounded to the weathering zone of volcanic rocks are one of the little known raw materials. The Fe minerals, hematite and goethite are the carriers of the colour which, according to the share, create the colour from red (hematite to ochre (goethite).. Mouldered rocks expose to the South from Chomutov in the surroundings of the Hořenec community and create the deposit of purpurin with the estimated reserves of 12 million m3.

The extraction of terephthalic acid with high-frequency decomposition of waste polyethylenterephthalate

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2009, 49(1)

Validation of the quarter operation using the waste polyethylenterphthalate (PET) batch method of non-pressure high-frequency decomposition which generates terephthalate acid (TPA) and defining optimum conditions for the technological process.

The summary of findings from the mobile emissions measurement in small selected locations in the North-Bohemian region

Ing. Jan Brejcha

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2009, 49(1)

Within the partial task handling from the topic "emissions-immissions" of the research project No. MšMT 4456918101 immission measurements were performed with the mobile system at the Černice, Strupčice, Pesvice, Měrunice, Milešov and Most stations. In 2006 the network of measurement points was extended in other 4 stations of the satellite and suburban development type in Litvínov - Janov-border, Janov-school, Hamr and Chudeřín. The main target of the measurement performed was to describe the immission situation in small communities of the country type in various positions and distances from the opencast mines in the North-Western Bohemia region and...

The anthroposoil of waste dumps in the North-Bohemian Brown Coal Basin reclaimed for agriculture purpose

Ing. Petr Čermák, CSc., Vratislav Ondráček

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2009, 49(1)

The soil condition of spoil banks after agricultural reclamation in the North Bohemian Brown Coal Basin was evaluated in the pedologically oldest Anthroposols that were formed by direct and indirect reclamation of spoil bank substrates. We evaluated pelitic Anthroposols formed of grey Miocene clays, humic Anthroposols (overlaying of spoil banks with topsoil layer up to 0.3 m in thickness) and deep-humic Anthroposols (overlaying of spoil banks with topsoil layer more than 0.3 m in thickness) including the combined soil profiles when the spoil bank was overlaid with bentonites or loess loams before the final application of topsoil onto the surface. Deep-humic...

The long-term monitoring evaluation of the construction mixtures quality parameters based on the products after combustion

Ing. Pavel Schmidt, Ing. Petr Šašek, Ph.D.

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2009, 49(1)

The products after combustion of fossil fuels hide a potential which must be used. Civil engineering is a field where the products after fossil fuels combustion are used most. Reclamation is another way how to use the products after fossil fuels combustion. In the main and old quarries liquidation, it is possible to use the products after fossil fuels combustion as a consolidated back fill material. Within the solution of the project "Research of Physical and Chemical Features of Materials Affected by Coal Mining and Use and Their Impact on Environment in the North-Western Bohemia Region", a station for controlled monitoring was established according...
