Importance of woody species cultivated on mining dump sites for pedology and landscape formation
Ing. Konstantin Dimitrovský, Ing. Miroslav Kunt, Ph.D., Ing. Ondřej Vanc
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2016, 56(4)
All human activity is always inseparably linked with various impacts on the inhabited landscape and its natural components in the system: the soil-water-vegetation-climate. These natural components are one of the major focus of the Department of garden and landscape architecture of ČZU (Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague). The technology of the raw material extraction, in our case, the coal seams (hard coal, brown coal, lignite), has been constantly improved since mid-17th century. Its development has gone through a number of stages influenced by social need for coal. Historically, whether underground mining (Ostrava-Karviná region, Kladno region)...
Reduction of dust emissions of belt conveyor transfer points
Ing. Jaromír Täuber, Ing. Jaroslav Svoboda, František Holý
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2016, 56(4)
The article describes one way of dust reduction at belt conveyor transfer points. Besides the description of basic principles for reduction of dust emissions the article provides description of each individual realized technological upgrades on Vršanská uhelná a.s., measurement results and lessons learned. Finally authors provide the comparison of dry and wet dedusting techniques in coal mining industry.
The dynamics of the impact stand with the impact bars at the discharge boom transfer point of the bucket wheel excavator
Ing. Jiří Neruda, Ph.D., prof. Ing. Horst Gondek, DrSc.
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2016, 56(4)
The article contains the calculation of dynamics of impact stand with impact bars at the discharge boom of the bucket wheel excavator KU 300 using mathematical model. The individual steps of a mathematical model described in a detail have led to real results verified in the real operational conditions.
Co-pyrolysis of brown coal and biomass mixtures with subsequent modification of volatile products
Ing. Lenka Jílková, doc. Ing. Karel Ciahotný, CSc., Jaroslav Kusý, Ing. RNDr. Josef Valeš, Ing. Lukáš Anděl
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2016, 56(4)
Volatile pyrolysis products contain among others also organic compounds containing nitrogen, sulphur or oxygen heteroatoms. As a result of this, liquid pyrolysis products in particular become unstable and susceptible to secondary reactions (polymerization, polycondensation, polyaddition, etc.), which leads to an increase of average molecular weight or even to the production of solid matter. This paper examines catalytic refining of volatile pyrolysis products from Czech lignite and biomass mixtures for further utilization. The volatile products were refined in gas phase in a separately heated thermal-catalytic reactor filled with Ni-W based hydrocracking...
Complex information of outer dump sites - locality Jirásek
RNDr. Jan Burda, Ph.D., Míla Pletichová, Ing. Lukáš Žižka
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2016, 56(4)
The article presents a summary of the available knowledge on the dump site Jirásek, mainly the development of hydrological and hydro-geological characteristics of the dump and its base, and information about the implemented reclamations. The entire article is divided into sections that contain a description of the original state before the dump site establishing, the history of mining activity impacts in the landscape, the characteristics of the material forming the dump and the ways of its creation. Further sections contains description of the development of the hydro-geological conditions of the dump body and its base and also a description of the...
