Earth-filled dams belong among the most widespread types of water dam works in the Czech Republic. Due to a combination of an old age and unsuitable design they suffer often from leakages or complete loss of stability. To ensure the safety of their neighbourhood it is necessary to pay high attention to them. There are a number of technologies to make dam corrections of which for small water works the best is a classical injection method. Number of grout injection mixtures of clay, clay-cement or even chemical is used for this purpose. Application of the large injections requires the huge amount of mixture, therefore, it is desirable to reduce the economic...
Comprehensive measurements of the excavator - SchRS 1550-4x30/ K109
Ing. Vlastimil Moni, Ph.D., Ing. Petr Klouda, RNDr. Michal Řehoř, Ph.D.
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2017, 57(1)
The article describes the verification of the operating parameters of the excavator SchRs 1550-4x30/K109 and the assessment of the suitability of the excavator planned move from its present position on the 1st overburden cut to the 2nd overburden cut into harder and more difficult mining conditions. Three comprehensive long-term stress measurement of selected parts of the excavator was carried out to assess this plan. The article provides the basic principles of measurement, description of the sensors and measuring apparatus installation, measuring results and lessons learned.
Utilisation of DEM simulation of bulk materials in practice
Ing. Robert Brázda, Ph.D., Ing. Zdeněk Poruba, Ph.D.
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2017, 57(1)
Many transport and process systems in practice does not work entirely by the operator concepts. The operator then often perform a variety of structural or technological adjustments of the equipment according to the intuition or from experience with similar equipment already functioning or on the basis of methods "trial - error". Any such even unsuccessful attempt ending in failure is beneficial, however, materially, financially and time-consuming. The article presents the option to verify the functionality of proposed modifications in the transport and process equipment not on the physical model, but using a simulation of movement of bulk materials...
Regenerative method of carbon dioxide capture from energy processes
Ing. Marek Staf, Ph.D., doc. Ing. Karel Ciahotný, CSc., Ing. Eva Krtková
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2017, 57(1)
The study deals with the opportunities offered by the method of high-temperature carbonate loop for cyclic regenerative carbon dioxide capture. Separation of the mentioned greenhouse gas from the exhaust flue gases produced during the production of electricity, heat, and also in major industrial processes is discussed. Based on literary sources, this method is compared with other absorption and adsorption procedures. The basic operating parameters of the method are based on literary research and laboratory experimental measurements carried out on the apparatus with the sorbent fixed bed. Survey of the important sources of carbon dioxide in the Czech...
