Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2018, 58(2)

Geo-botanical and botanical evaluation of surface coal quarry territory shows that the territory is a fine-grained mosaic of communities, the basic pattern is determined by both the existing substrate and level of succession related to the age of the newly originated surface, so the intensity/level of the reclamation carried out. Structurally and contextually this is a very important territory that may in the future work as a sample of the migration corridor and the extension of very valuable territory NPR Jezerka. In total there were found 142 species of higher plants and habitats and recognized 15 biotopes in this territory. On general level it is...

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2018, 58(2)

The research of forestry reclamation carried out since 1961 with the cultivation of larch, in particular the "jesenicky" sort (Larix decidua), clearly showed that this wood species is very promising even for atypical habitats, such as the habitats of mining dumps. Work in the creation and cultivation of larch stands on mining dump habitats is currently at a level that can be used without further modification and methodological instructions in the large-scale reclamation practice. The article extends the theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of reclamation dendrology and forest rehabilitation.

Ing. Milan Brož, CSc., p.g. Alena Boušková

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2018, 58(2)

The nature of seismic activity of West Bohemian region and seismicity in the region of North Bohemian coal mines are described. The connection of earthquakes occurrence with significant geodynamic impact of ground fluid - mineral water and carbon dioxide were analysed. The project for accessing of Goethe`s gallery in the volcano Komorni hůrka is described in the last part of paper. The research of West Bohemian region was supported by the projects of CzechGeo, Strategies 21 and Regional project CAS n. R100121621.
