Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2019, 59(4)

The article describes an assessment of the operational surface warming of the five variants of the cutting edge geometry of the bucket wheel excavator KU 800/11 - K84 extracting upper soils containing a larger or smaller volume of difficult disconnectable materials at the Vršany open pit mine. Main goal was verification of the functionality of four new geometries in the operating conditions compared to the original solution and to determine the most suitable cutting geometry for the given mining conditions.

Experimental Boridation of teeth of the bucket wheel excavator

Ing. Vlastimil Moni, Ph.D., David Hradil, Ing. Tomáš Miletič

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2019, 59(4)

The article is dedicated to the experimental boridation of tooth samples to ensure the highest possible resistance of the tooth against wear. The described development is carried out within the framework of the project, which solves the optimisation of shapes, and especially materials used in the production of cutting elements of ground and mining machines in relation to the mining conditions using the most modern knowledge from the area of material engineering and metallurgy, cryogenics and nanotechnologies. The aim of the project is to increase the efficiency of the separation process and the lifetime of the key node of the ground and mining machines.

Development of dispersion conditions in the Most Basin in the period of 1997 to 2018

Ing. Jan Brejcha

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2019, 59(4)

The article generally characterizes dispersive conditions. Three characteristic scenarios of daily dispersive conditions were defined. The frequency and seasonality of their occurrence in the Most Basin were evaluated. The mechanism of the formation of daily progress of dispersive conditions is described as well. The focus is mainly dedicated to situations where unfavourable dispersive conditions occur only within a part of the day. The daily values of concentrations of the PM10 aerosol particles at selected stations of the Most Basin in 2018 were compared with the occurrence of characteristic scenarios of daily dispersive conditions.
