The paper informs about the quality management system implemented in the company. ISO 9001 is a global standard used to control quality management. The method is used to identify, plan, and control all interconnected processes within the company. Companies can benefit from the implemented quality management system (QMS) as they can better control and plan their financial, human, as well as material resources. Moreover, QMS can be helpful in securing suitable working environment, or providing machines, equipment, and technologies. The top management of the Výzkumný ústav pro hnědé uhlí a.s. decided to implement this standard in an effort to meet the demands of their customers as well as to become capable of taking part in selection procedures that require QMS certificate, thus extending their customers portfolio and strengthening their market position.
