Hydrological groundwater regime in the vicinity of Lake Medard in 2018

Ing. Petr Valvoda, Ing. Jaromír Fultner

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2019, 59(1):3-9

The article briefly introduces the history of filling the Lake Medard and evaluate the hydrological groundwater regime in its immediate vicinity in the year 2018 after reaching the final of the planned Lake level at 400.0 m.a.s. Hydrogeological conditions are mapped since 2008, when mine water pumping at the bottom of the quarry was terminated, both during filling and after its termination. 4 observation wells (MPT12, MPT13, and MPT16 HG14) monitored regularly were used for the evaluation of groundwater regime in the vicinity of flooded Lake in the year 2018. Results of the obtained measurements complete the view of hydrogeological conditions in the...

Posouzení 3D modelu zubu 2673 a ESCO Super V39VYH

Assessment of the 3D model of the tooth 2673 and ESCO Super V39VYH

Ing. Vlastimil Moni, Ph.D., Ing. Petr Klouda, Ing. Tomáš Miletič

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2019, 59(1):10-17

The article describes the first part of the analysis of the strength and applicability of 3D designs of teeth PN 2673 and ESCO Super V39VYH using the finite element method realized in the framework of the project. The project addresses the optimization research of the shapes and the materials used in the production of particular cutting elements of mining and ground machinery depending on mining conditions using the latest knowledge in the field of material engineering and metallurgy, cryogenics and nanotechnology to improve the efficiency of the cutting process and the lifetime of this key node of the earth moving and mining machinery.

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2019, 59(1):18-25

The region of North Western Bohemia is one of the most important areas of the Czech Republic from the point of view of the quartz precious stones occurrence. The paper is devoted to the present situation of the Krušné Hory Mts. and the Slavkovský Les Mts. localities. Primarily the amethyst locations of the Krušné Hory Mts. take a really exceptional place in the Czech history of precious stones' extraction. The history of their extraction is more than 600 years old. The article evaluates the geology, mineralogy and present situation of important localities including possibilities of their protection. Main attention is devoted to the newly discovered...

Ing. Lukáš Žižka, Ing. Petr Urban, Ing. Beáta Korandová, Ph.D., Ing. Mária Jarolimová, Ph.D.

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2019, 59(1):26-33

The article deals with the current state of the underground mining water system of the former underground mine Eliška, which is located in the southern part of the quarry. The mine was in operation within the period 1892-1940. Coal was mined in the upper seam using pillar method (thickness 1.8-2 m) and in the main seam using caving method mostly with the bridge thickness about 12 to 14 m. exceptionally in the eastern part of the south field appears two-bridge mining field. The abandoned mine was drained naturally toward the pit Marshal Konev (Grohmann) in Dřínov. After the pumping termination of Konev mine, and especially after the interruption of...
