Optimization of material and shape of cutting organs of working machines

Ing. Vlastimil Moni, Ph.D., Ing. Jaromír Täuber, Ing. Tomáš Miletič

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2018, 58(1)

The article provides a brief introduction to a new project that addresses research optimization of shapes and materials used primarily in the manufacture of cutting parts of ground and mining machinery depending on mining conditions. Using the latest knowledge from the field of material engineering, metallurgy, cryogenics and nanotechnology should improve the efficiency of the cutting process and the time of life of this key node of the ground moving and mining machinery.

The Ore Mountains on the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites - the history of ore mining and mining of precious stones

RNDr. Michal Řehoř, Ph.D.

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2018, 58(1)

Representatives of the Czech Republic and the Saxony sign common nomination documentation for the notation of the Mining Region Krušnohoří/Erzgebirge to the List of World Heritage UNESCO. This paper briefly summarized the history of the nomination documentation submission, the history of ore mining and precious stone mining and describes selected important Czech and Saxony localities. The article summarises historical data and results of author research during last 20 years including photo documentation of attractive mineralogical samples.

Miocene limnic silicites of the Sokolov Basin, Czech Republic

RNDr. Petr Rojík, Ph.D., RNDr. Eva Kadlecová, Mgr. Daniel Horváth, RNDr. Vladimír Žáček

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2018, 58(1)

The paper deals with silicites in the Sokolov Basin (Lomnice, Vintířov - open pit mine Jiří, Sokolov). The stratigraphic position, morphology, mineralogy, geochemistry and paleontologic content (Gastropoda) of the silicites are characterized. The origin of rocks as a hydrotermal deposition of Burdigalian age is discussed. Silicites are closely bound on extensional tectonic faults. Beside stratiform beds and domes in the lignite seam, silicified vertical zones occur along the marginal faults of the Sokolov Basin. Silicites from Sokolov were used for the Mesolitic chipped stone industry (Tašovice near Karlovy Vary).

Complex information of outer dump sites - locality Albrechtice

RNDr. Jan Burda, Ph.D., Ing. Lukáš Žižka, Mgr. Martin Veselý

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2018, 58(1)

The article summarises available knowledge about the Albrechtice dump, especially on the development of hydrological and hydrogeological conditions of the dump and its bottom and then information about the implemented rehabilitation actions. The entire article is divided into sections that contain a description of the original state before the dump establishing, mining history of the landscape, the characteristics of the material, forming a dump and procedures used to its creation. Furthermore, the development of the hydro-geological conditions of the dump body and its bottom part, and also a description of the current state of the recovery and reclamation...
