Leveling measurements of vertical movements in the Jezeří exploration gallery have been taking place since 1985 and thus belong to the longest performed measurements in the vicinity of the ČSA open-pit mine. At present, levelling measurements in the Jezeří gallery are included in the comprehensive network of monitoring of the side slopes of the ČSA open-pit mine. The aim of the levelling measurements in the Jezeří gallery was to verify the possible influence of surface brown coal mining in the ČSA open-pit mine on the stability conditions of the tectonically disturbed crystalline rocks of the Krušné hory Mts. The measurement results reflect the basic...

At the end of the Jezeří gallery, an inclinometer station was installed as early as 1982 as part of the ČSA brown coal quarry monitoring system. In 2001, the second station at the length of 140 was completed. Both stations register very accurate inclinometer data tracking movements in the slope of the crystalline rocks of the Ore Mountains. After processing, the data is converted into a vector graph, which shows the track (direction and speed) of inclinations. The long-term trend of the incline is often disrupted by changes in the winter, which significantly change the azimuth and speed of the inclines due to increased precipitation totals, but also...
History and results of leveling measurements around the Jezeří gallery
prof. RNDr. Vít Vilímek, CSc., prof. RNDr. Jan Kalvoda, DrSc., RNDr. Tomáš Kroczek
Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2021, 61(1)
The article focuses on the overview of the history and results of levelling measurements, which took place in the years from 1983 to 1998 on geodetic circuit in the Ore Mountains locality of Jezeří. These measurements were interpreted both in the context of ongoing geomorphological processes and with regard to the long-term development of the relief of this part of the Ore Mountains. Optimal results were brought in particular by repeated levelling measurements on a special levelling polygon Mikulovice - the Jezeří chateau. Geomorphological interpretation of the geodetic measurements in the vicinity of the Jezeří gallery made it possible to determine...
New findings on slope deformation at Šibeniční hůrka at the foot of the Krušné hory Mts.

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2021, 61(1)
The article gives a brief overview of selected slope deformations at the foot of the Krušné hory Mts. at the junction with the Most Basin. Special attention is paid to the extensive slope deformation below the slope of the Jezeří hill at the location of the former šibeniční hůrka. Reconstruction of this complex slope deformation is based on the evaluation of 216 boreholes and spatial analysis of the original terrain in GIS. Schmidt hammer was used to determine the mechanical properties of rocks, and thus also for a rough estimate of the age of slope deformation. The accumulation of a total volume ranging between 25.4 and 27.4 million m3 covered an...
Exploratory mining works at the foot of the Krušné Hory Mts.

In connection with the development of the ČSA open-pit mine, an extensive set of exploratory-geological works and monitoring was carried out at the foot of the slopes of the Krušné Hory Mts. in the 1970s and 1980s. It was a unique and rare achievement to implement the mining works - four exploration galleries and two pits. In the long term, the so far functioning Jezeří exploration gallery has become the most important at the foot of the Krušné Hory Mts. Geological conditions and character of surrounding crystalline rocks had already been specified on the basis of the results obtained during the excavation and subsequent detailed measurements and engineering-geological...
