Measurement of inclines of the ČSA mine slope in the Jezeří gallery
At the end of the Jezeří gallery, an inclinometer station was installed as early as 1982 as part of the ČSA brown coal quarry monitoring system. In 2001, the second station at the length of 140 was completed. Both stations register very accurate inclinometer data tracking movements in the slope of the crystalline rocks of the Ore Mountains. After processing, the data is converted into a vector graph, which shows the track (direction and speed) of inclinations. The long-term trend of the incline is often disrupted by changes in the winter, which significantly change the azimuth and speed of the inclines due to increased precipitation totals, but also other factors. E.g., in 2011, a very significant change of direction and speed was registered even before the beginning of a significant landslide in the area of the supporting pillar under the Jezeří chateau. In 2016, there was a change in the long-term trend of the direction of inclination, probably in connection with the progress of the extracting front and finishing works of deep mining of coal. Inclinometer data are provided online to the coal company of the ČSA quarry and contribute to ensuring the protection of the health of mine workers and tangible assets in the mine.
