The open pit mine Československé Armády is one of the most important mining localities of the Most Basin up to these days. Thanks to the gradual termination of overburden rocks mining, it is a good time to summarise the long term mineralogical research of this locality. The article briefly evaluates the history, the geological and mineralogical situation of the open pit mine Československé Armády. The main attention is devoted to the two new mineralogical discoveries in 2015 and 2016. The newly discovered sample of cordierite is described as the 63rd mineral of the Most Basin.
