Earth-filled dams belong among the most widespread types of water dam works in the Czech Republic. Due to a combination of an old age and unsuitable design they suffer often from leakages or complete loss of stability. To ensure the safety of their neighbourhood it is necessary to pay high attention to them. There are a number of technologies to make dam corrections of which for small water works the best is a classical injection method. Number of grout injection mixtures of clay, clay-cement or even chemical is used for this purpose. Application of the large injections requires the huge amount of mixture, therefore, it is desirable to reduce the economic aspects of this technology. This can be achieved by using, for example, high-temperature, but also the fluid fly-ash as suitable alternatives to traditional components. The addition of ashes does not serve only for reduction of the costs of the resulting technology, but also brings the improvement of rheological properties of the mixture, especially the workability and properties for mixture pumping. Ashes also have a positive effect on dimensional stability of the mixture and the resulting strength. The article deals with the introduction and experimental validation of remediation technologies of earth-filled embankments by injection of mixtures containing fly ash in real field conditions "in situ".
