Evaluation of the impact of hydric reclamation of brown coal open pit mines on fresh air quality in the Ústí region

Ing. Jan Brejcha

The article provides the results of the "Study of the impact of hydric reclamation of surface mines on fresh air quality and microclimate in the ústí region". The study upgrades the results of the project "Impacts on microclimate, air quality, water and soil ecosystems within the framework of the hydric reclamation of brown coal open pit mines", which was carried on with the support of Technology Agency of Czech Republic under No. TA01020592 within the period 2011 to 2014. Based on the evaluation of the measured data, it can be assumed that the change in microclimatic conditions on the reclaimed area of and including Lake Most, will not change climatic conditions enough to significantly affect the development of the pollution level in the whole area of region.
