Increase of the production capacity of the quality type Walnut 2 - new crushing line for the Coal Plant Komořany

Authors discuss this year´s investment - a new crushing line for coal production, type nut 2, to increase its capacity in order to achieve higher production for both transport type - railways (Czech Railways´ carriages) and the small business (retail-trucks) at Finishing Department Komořany. In addition, the article describes the total production of assorted types during the past years with respect to both either actual or long term customerś increasing demand on coal type nut 2 (small business - heating plants, wholesale - (for example) export to Poland). Based on the above-mentioned demand, the technological processes were modified at the Finishing Department Komořany. The total sale of the type nut 2 was 445 250 tonnes in the year 2012. The production increase of 20 % (89 050 t/year) is expected after this technology improvement. The return of investment is expected to be 3 years. The article describes the technology modification from the very beginning - preparation step, implementation of finishing measures and operation start-up. Problem-free functioning of this technology confirmed the proposed and implemented way of solving of technical measures, which was based above all on a wide range of knowledge and experience of all involved experts.
