Ing. Lenka Vaidišová, Ing. Jan Brejcha

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2013, 53(4)

Evaluation of fresh air quality in the remediated site Lake Most is one part of the complex project "Effects of the hydric reclamation of open cast coal mines on microclimate, air quality, water and soil ecosystems" no TA 1020592. In the framework of this project, there are 8 locations around the Lake Most, in which gaseous pollutants are monitored: SO2, NOx, NH3 and O3, VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds excluding methane), using the passive sampling method of Radiello. In addition, the continuous measurement of O3, SO2, NOx, and CO is carried out on one of the stations. The obtained data are used to monitor pollution and at the same time to compare...

Partial results of the assessment of the level of dust pollution in the vicinity of the Lake Most

Ing. Jan Brejcha

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2013, 53(4)

The partial results of the evaluation of the development from the perspective of immission concentration of aerosol particles PM10 and the level of dust fallout around the site of the Lake Most, which was carried out in the frame of the complex project, "Effects of the hydric reclamation of open cast coal mines on microclimate, air quality, water and soil ecosystems" no. TA 1020592. The anomalous increase in the levels of pollution in closer vicinity of the Lake to a distance of approximately 1.6 miles in comparison to far places was found in the spring and summer months when the amount of in the Lake Most reached the capacity greater than approximately...

Recultivation substrates of the Sokolov region

Mgr. Petr Rojík, Ph.D., RNDr. Michal Řehoř, Ph.D.

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2013, 53(4)

The Sokolov basin is intermittently filled with the volcanic and sediments of the layer thickness to 360 m. The tertiary layer of the basin consists of about 55 % of the volcanic rocks, 30 % of sediments from the kaoline erosion and from 15 % of organic sediments. Properties and utilisation of the substrates and of anthropogenic soils originated from them for reclamation depend on the characteristics of the mother rock and erosion processes after their bedding into the dump. They are affected by a number of factors described in this article. The only systematic evaluation of soil substrates of Sokolov dates from the year 1964. The research described...

Increase of the production capacity of the quality type Walnut 2 - new crushing line for the Coal Plant Komořany

doc. Ing. Milan Mikoláš, Ph.D., Ing. David Paus, Ing. Petr Kolman, Ing. Pavel Kounovský

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2013, 53(4)

Authors discuss this year´s investment - a new crushing line for coal production, type nut 2, to increase its capacity in order to achieve higher production for both transport type - railways (Czech Railways´ carriages) and the small business (retail-trucks) at Finishing Department Komořany. In addition, the article describes the total production of assorted types during the past years with respect to both either actual or long term customerś increasing demand on coal type nut 2 (small business - heating plants, wholesale - (for example) export to Poland). Based on the above-mentioned demand, the technological processes were modified at the Finishing...

New rules for the utilisation of fly ash and mixtures containing fly ash for sanitation and the terrain shaping for future reclamation

Ing. Renata Zárubová

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2013, 53(4)

The products of the coal combustion can be used also for remediation and shaping of the terrain for future reclamation. These products are usually named as the certified building products. At the beginning of 2013, substantial changes of the essential requirements on the quality of the products of the coal combustion as a feedstock for this product group aroused. These legislative changes are the subject of the article.
