Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2013, 53(1)

Maximum cinder grain size entering technology of mechanical dehydration of cinder taken out from power or heat station through a wet way must be guaranteed for reliable operation of the technology. The problem was solved by development and delivery of new cinder crushers installed under cinder takeoffs under boilers in case of a new constructed operation site for mechanical cinder dehydration in the Mělník (EMĚ) power plant facility.

A commercial CFD software programme, ANSYS-Fluent, was used to study the low temperature oxidation of coal inside stockpiled coal. Two dimensional, single-phase model of coal oxidised inside the stockpile has been developed respecting the atmospheric boundary layer. Main attention is focused on the influence of geometry and/or porosity of the stockpile on dynamics of the coal spontaneous heating process. Numerical simulations proved stockpile porosity to be a dominant parameter influencing oxidation process of stockpiled coal. As to geometry, slope of the stockpile side is mainly important with evident rise in oxidation process as the slope angle increases.

Quality assessment of products of hydroconversion of liquid proportion of copyrolysis of the mixture of lignite tar and biomass

Jaroslav Kusý, Ing. Petr Svoboda, CSc., Ing. Marcela Šafářová, Ph.D., RNDr. Ing. Josef Valeš, Ing. Lukáš Anděl, doc. Ing. Karel Ciahotný, CSc.

A series of pyrolysis tests was carried out with samples with various ratio of lignite (brown coal) to sawdust biomass. Yields of individual pyrolysis products - liquid organic phase, pyrolysis water, pyrolysis solid products, and gaseous products were observed at the copyrolysis. Obtained organic liquid phase was hydrotreated in a hydrogenation reactor and the quality of all the samples was assessed then.

Air quality development in revitalised locality of Most Lake

Ing. Jan Brejcha, Ing. Milena Vágnerová, Ing. Lenka Vaidišová

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2013, 53(1)

Air quality assessment in a revitalised locality of Most Lake is one part of the complex project "Impacts on microclimate, air quality, water and soil ecosystems in hydric recultivation of lignite quarries" No. TA 1020592. In air quality range, the solution of the project aims to find out significance of changes in air state near the lake which take place after changes of microclimate of the area of interest. Unique opportunity of hydric recultivation of the rest pit of the Most-Ležáky quarry is used during the research. Measurement is carried out in two zones and one reference standpoint. Lake close vicinity (50-100 m from the lakeside) is the first...

Hydrogeological issue of interlayer sand in Most region

Ing. Josef Halíř, Ph.D., Míla Pletichová, Ing. Lukáš Žižka

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2013, 53(1)

The article deals with the issue of an interlayer sand collector in the Most region in the area of the J. šverma-Vršany lignite (brown coal) open pit mine. The interlayer sands are a hydrogeologically significant collector with which both mines come in contact during lignite mining. The interlayer sand collector is embedded between an upper and main bench of a lignite seam and it constitutes an extensive and thick complex of irregular sandy positions. Changes of thickness and permeability in the both vertical and horizontal directions are frequent. The creation of the interlayer collector is related to the activity of a mighty Tertiary flow and its...
