Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2015, 55(2)

The article describes one of the outputs of the project solved with the support of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the period 2011-2014. The summary of information regarding the evaluation of the degree of risk for the beginning of spontaneous processes of brown coal combustion is presented. The described method of evaluation is based on the point assessment of indicators for the MHU criteria and other information received from the operators of coal landfill sites - both on the supply side (a mining company) and on the side of large consumers (energy producers). The comprehensive knowledge of the process development of spontaneous...

Evaluation of the degree of risk of the spontaneous combustion of brown coal on landfill sites with the use of modern numerical methods

Ing. Petr Klouda, Ing. Vlastimil Moni, Ph.D., Ing. Marcel Dlask, Ing. Petr Kolman, Ing. Petr Urban

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2015, 55(2)

The article presents a summary of the risk assessment of spontaneous combustion of brown coal. The evaluation was carried out analysing the extensive database of information on the development of the state variables and desorbed gases of the stored brown coal. The data were obtained from the complex long term measurement implemented on landfill sites at the selected mine companies. In the final phase of the project the results of the thermal images obtained by evaluating the acquired thermograms were assessed in comparison with the results of the gas and coal samples taken during the experiment. In addition the influence of atmospheric conditions (insulation,...

Low-Seam Longwall Shearer Innovation

Ing. Petr Tomek, Ph.D., doc. Ing. Karel Jeřábek, CSc.

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2015, 55(2)

This paper informs about the low-seam longwall shearer innovation. The goal of the study was to increase the efficiency of extraction of low seam mining complexes. The innovation of low-seam longwall shearers is approached on the basis of data recovered from the analysis of the machine operational data and in-situ measurements. The paper also includes experiment reports and presents proposals of solution for the aforementioned issues and recommendations for the use of the phase quality control in mining and technological applications and in technological manufacturing processes.

Sintered ash aggregate

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2015, 55(2)

Artificial aggregates made of sintered fly ash is an example of a material that can be produced just from fly ash without other admixture. For this ideal case is, however, necessary to have optimal type of raw materials, which achieves the essential fine particle size and contains the appropriate proportion of combustible substances. However, to ensure optimal conditions during the sintering process and to obtain high-quality aggregates the necessary attention has to be paid to the study of the influence of the fly ash character on the formation of ash body. The world experiences are focused rather on the production of artificial ash aggregate based...

Pedological research of banks and slopes of the Most Lake - summary of the results achieved in the project No. TA 01020592 supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic

RNDr. Michal Řehoř, Ph.D., Ing. Pavel Schmidt

Zpravodaj Hnědé uhlí 2015, 55(2)

The article briefly summarises the results of a long term pedological research of the coast and the slopes of the Most Lake. The main attention is devoted to the pedological mapping of the area, to the evaluation of the soil profile development, to the evaluation of the places with typical flora, to the distribution of risk trace elements and to the creating of the Most Lake area pedological map. The given experience can be used during the planning of the future hydrological restorations.
