The increased concentration of dust in the air yield a number of health risks. The dust is perceived as significantly annoying element as well. In addition to the health risks, dust in the working environment brings in some cases safety risk of fire. The present article provides information about a possible solution to the issue of reducing the dust of machinery used in mines and quarries and about operational tests carried out in situ using and testing the rotary atomizer in practice.

Since 2006, when the research task "Positioning of the wheel of the excavator K800/103/N1 via GPS", started, the significant move forward appeared in the area of the development of the functionality of the system itself, as well as in the number of its deployment on the giant machines. Currently, the system for determining the spatial position of the excavator wheel is used in real time on a total of 20 excavators in Severočeské doly a.s. Free extension of the article issued in his Journal no. (4/2012) with the name "Lake Medard-groundwater monitoring in the vicinity of the residual pit of the former quarry Medard-Libík". The article evaluate the new facts in the hydrogeological mode of groundwater and water of old mines in the immediate vicinity of the emerging Lake Medard. Hydrogeological conditions are mapped since 2008, when the mine water pumping from the bottom of the quarry was finished, to the present.
